We have selected Gabtoli, Mirpur and Pallabi area for our project. According to the conditions and significance of these areas we have designed our action plan.
Survey
In order to understand the actual situation of the road we conducted a 2 day-survey in those 3 areas with 25 volunteers.
Our survey activiy included:
Find the causes of road accident and the people's perception about it.
Convincing the drivers and the helpers to follow traffic rules.
Creating awareness by discussing with the passengers and pedestrian.
Arouse interests among the drivers to wear/fasten seatbelts.
Encourage motorcyclist for maitaining proper safety procedures.
Talking with the traffic police to understand their concerns and suggestions.
